Front Slopes or South Slopes?

The Front Slopes are beside the village and Zero Point services, but the main runs are red. The operator’s Front Slopes guide makes that distinction. Being the first skiing you see from the village does not make it the default place for a complete beginner.

The South Slopes are the area to investigate for Leevilandia and an easier learning start. The family-park listing locates it beside South Point on Tievantie. Confirm the selected lesson’s meeting point before choosing between a Zero Point and South Point equipment collection.

How do you get between the village and a different side?

Use the ski bus when a cross-mountain route is inappropriate for your ability or the day’s operation. The 2026–27 bus information describes two routes connecting at Zero Point. Bus use is included with ski passes and Leevilandia area tickets, but not with sightseeing cabin-lift tickets.

Plot the return to your actual accommodation. A piste ending on another side of the fell is not necessarily an easy walk back to the village, and a beginner should not be asked to ski a harder route merely to reach a rental shop.

Which map is for cross-country skiing or winter walks?

Use a separate route layer, not the downhill piste diagram. Levi’s routes and maps page separates downhill slopes, cross-country tracks, winter walking and fatbike routes, snowmobile routes and ski-bus services. Pick the map for the activity you are actually doing.

Does an early opening mean the whole fell is open?

No. The operator’s current report records the 2026–27 season starting on 2 October at the Front Slopes using preserved snow, with further terrain opening as conditions permit. Training reservations, wind and snowmaking can also affect access. Check the particular lift and learning area, not just the word “open”.

What does SlopeFinder add?

Our geographic map helps locate Levi and nearby community-listed services. It is not the official ski map, a maintained cross-country route layer or a safety guide. Use it for accommodation-area research, then follow the operator’s current maps and on-site signs for the activity.
