Open the official Flaine and Grand Massif piste map

The official map shows the ski area; the resort map shows village levels and accommodation. Use the first for lift and piste orientation, and the second to work out how to get from your building to the correct meeting point.

Local Flaine skiing or a Grand Massif outing?

Decide the scope before tracing a route. A day around Flaine’s learning facilities is different from an excursion towards Les Carroz, Morillon or Samoëns. The official page provides the Grand Massif diagram and links to live information through the resort’s website and app.

For a longer outing, identify the connecting lifts you need to get home. A village appearing on the wider map is not a promise of a direct, always-open beginner route to it. Check pass coverage and operational status before leaving the local area.

Where should a beginner look on the map?

Find the learning area agreed with the school, not simply the nearest large lift. Front de Neige, Forum and Forêt have different nursery and lift-access points. Our Flaine guide places the named learner facilities within those levels and explains which ticket types apply.

Then compare the accommodation on the official village-level guide. A piste diagram does not reliably show the easiest pedestrian route in ski boots, and Les Gérats should not be treated as another central pedestrian level.

Which information changes during the day?

Use the opening-report link on the official map page for current lifts, pistes and schedules. Keep a downloaded diagram for orientation, but do not mistake an offline image for a live closure report. When your return depends on a connection, check that connection before making the outward journey.

How is the SlopeFinder map different?

Our map is a geographic view for nearby accommodation areas, shops and other community-listed places. It is not the official ski diagram and does not certify that a path, business or piste is open. Use it for village research, not for deciding that an unmarked line is a skiable route.
